7 reasons to enjoy a surf trip to Senegal
Senegal: A unique trip - a special experience for surfing in a magical landscape.
If you think it is high time for an out of the ordinary trip, combining virgin landscapes, different cultures and of course unique surfing opportunities, then traveling to Senegal is your ideal choice.
- Endless summer. Sun, sand, sea and natural waves at the heart of winter. This is the reason why Robert August and his friends in their film Endless Summer chose Senegal as one of their destinations by chasing the finest waves in an endless summer. So today, Senegal is one of the top surfing destinations in the world.
- Surfing 365 days a year. Dakar's geographic location allows waves to be created either with northern or southern weather systems. As for the islet of Ngor, it has a perfect location, since you can enjoy the waves literally upon opening your eyes. So, what would you say, welcoming January 2018 with a tropical tan, surfing?
- Private locations where you can chase the waves all on your own. Although the main coastline gathers many aspiring surfers, beaches and reefs to enjoy some wonderful waves are just a boat ride away.
- Land Pattern (do not fear the reefs). Due to the reconstruction in the area, the sand has been removed in several places, revealing smooth reefs. Sweet and clean waves form on the water surface, showing you the way to the next level of surfing. Do not be afraid. "Life begins out of the comfort zone".
- Safety. Senegal is a busy country, with many immigrants living in harmony with the locals, offering a distinct tone to the diversity of the area. Relaxation, friendly warm-hearted people and wonderful scenery coexist in a unique combination.
- Tasting (the fish of the day). Fish is the main food of the country and you will find it cooked in many different ways, be it fish-based snacks to gourmet flavors. The famous café touba, a recipe with coffee and pepper, that will give you the boost you need for the next wave hunt is an absolute must!
- Africa sounds. When the night falls in Dakar, the city comes alive. Reggae, Jazz, Blues and traditional notes are heard from everywhere. It's time for a party.
So, meet us in Senegal on January 5th ....
