The only Greek film festival, dedicated to adventure sports activities, is back for the 5th consecutive year in a new venue and with new people, presenting once again, unique film productions, photo exhibitions and of course captivating speeches from distinguished people in sports and action, which make up for an amazing, one-of-a-kind thematic and spectacular event.
Adventure Film Festival Greece has proven to be the biggest celebration of outdoor activities, as during the 4 previous years more than 8,000 people honored it with their presence filling the theater during the screenings of 87 films, enjoyed 26 speeches and 16 photography exhibitions, all with the theme of a wide range of activities carried out with the power of man, turning the elements of nature into an endless field of action. Our purpose is not to create history but a change in the everyday life for all of us.
At this 5th anniversary AFF, held at the Pierce Theater – The American College of Greece, on Saturday 03rd and Sunday 04th of November, Athletes, Filmmakers, Photographers, equipment and outdoor activities companies, join forces once more composing a two-day celebration that has become a tradition. Every adventure and adrenaline lover will be there.
Adventure Film Festival includes:
Film Productions - AFF has matured and features full length documentaries of international character. This year's program presents 12 screenings, most of which are premieres in our country. Through them, the public will be given the opportunity to travel to unknown places and live unique experiences.
Through the productions, viewers will live with an indigenous community and be taught how to build a canoe by them, that will then take them on a journey of a lifetime. They will experience a journey of searching for the world's oldest sky. For some, the ocean is a scary and dangerous place. But for AFF visitors, it's a vast world of fun, freedom and opportunity where audiences can enjoy themselves to the fullest. Trapped in the "world's largest open-air prison", in war-torn Gaza, they will meet a new generation of people, who live and create experiences on the waves. Finally, through the process of constant movement that leads to questioning of things, they will ask themselves: "Can running save a rainforest?"
