Highlights
At the heart of Pindos, the largest mountain range of Greece, among landscapes of rare natural beauty, steep ravines, rivers and traditional stone-built villages, rise the alpine Greek diamonds.
Tymfi (2,497), Tzoumerka (2,393) and Lakmos (2,294).
Three mountains that lovers of long descents in alpine terrain would not want to miss. This wonderful picture is completed by an alpine lake at 2,050m, a warm and welcoming shelter and a series of archaeological and cultural attractions that make your visit to the area a fantastic travel experience.
Activities
Descent level: Red piste / continuous and controlled turns / Parallel skis.
Mountaineering ski / splitboard.
The ultimate escape means
Alpine skiing, after proper familiarization with the winter environment, can be carried out in areas with sufficient snow cover and for periods of time much longer than the operation of organized ski resorts centers and is a means to escape from large urban centers, not only during the winter season. It's a more complete activity than a day of skiing at a ski resort without having to wait in lift lines. Also, ski mountaineering can take the form of traversing (from one specific point - eg a mountain village - to another), or the form of an ascent and imminent descent.
